Product Information A replica of a Stroh Violin with genuine ebony fingeringboard and tuning pegs. This now pretty rare instrument had been developed and patented by Carl Augustus Stroh at around 1900 for use in the Phono Industry due to its more focused and more voluminous sound compared to normal violins and got more attention during the last years , by being used on recordings by bluesman Tom Waits, amongst others. This quality instrument comes out of south-east-asian manufacturing with a lot of attention to details. Fingeringboard and tuning pegs are in genuine ebony, chinrest and tailpiece in dark ironwood.diaphragm case and amplifying bell are in polished aluminium. 4 finetuners make exact tuning fast and easy.lovely sounding violin and stunning looks makes it interesting for collectors as well as for streetmusicians. Comes with standard bow (horsehair and ebony frog). No case but well packed.
